Speaking of pressies
a canadian co has designed a jacket for homeless people whose pockets can be stuffed with newspapers for additional warmth. cutting edge
street fashion for you.

its named TAXI ....
hopefully the poor souls freezing in toronto and ottawa will have this soon. toronto sure wasnt any picnic in winter on my sole visit...they had burrowed below the CBD and linked all buildings with ratholes and tunnels for people to scurry around, safe from the feared lake winds.

There's a jacket designed just for you, too ... it's a bit straitlaced for your taste, perhaps

FFS have you two seen fifteen below zero ?
I used to live downtown and I had the habit of walking long distances esp during college days, and the feet do not move anywhere in a hurry if it goes below 10.

Old time folks of northern cities always like to boast that it gets to 30 below with windchill.
I usually do not fear if the cold is isolated from the weather system, but then there is a phenomenon named by meteoroligists as the "Arctic tap" and that is when it really gets to 30 below and then probably drops a dozen further with wind chill. I truly fear and admire that.
Have always wanted to walk nekkid on the streets when that happened, I think i will wear a kilt and go commando.

Buckaroo, can you point out the general area where you live?
Would take care not to go to vacations there in the winter.

Mate, I'm also talking 30 below before the wind chill is factored in. The guys you speak of are pussies!
