That's worse than eating whale meat. Most shark fin (if it is real shark fin) is harvested from live sharks - it's too much trouble to land them so they just haul them up to the boat, hack off the fins and let the shark go, so the poor buggers drown or starve or bleed to death.
Anyone who eats that stuff deserves to be hunted and culled in the same way.
