Australia v Sri Lanka, 1st ODI, Melbourne, 11 January, 2013
5 of these cursed things then 2 games of clown cricket.
Oh well, it's cricket, I guess.
The Aus squad:
George Bailey (captain), Ben Cutting, Xavier Doherty, Aaron Finch, Brad Haddin, Phillip Hughes, David Hussey, Mitchell Johnson, Usman Khawaja, Glenn Maxwell, Clint McKay, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc

Indeed but its now an afterthought to be squeezed in between BBL finishing and the other T20's.
"Oh lets put the JAMODIs on over the BBL finals because they're meaningless anyway and it won distract from the crowds going to watch bogans in pyjamas through their balls around"

Perfect from the spin viewpoint - each can blame the other for pinching its crowd.
At least it gets it all over with all at once..

Steve Smith has only bowled two overs in the BBL this summer. Surely they don't think he's a all-rounder.

Well, they claim Midge is an allrounder.
This is very much an Aust A side. I think Bailey has been handed something of a poisened Chalice as stand-in captain.

Another one in the line of great Aussie allrounders.

Cutting seems to be a nearly man, too often.
IMO he's better than half the blokes they've left IN. It's clearly a team chosen to audition players for a more serious role rather than a team chosen to best represent us. We will lose.

isn't one billy in the team enough...oh well I concede it is madness to select both midge and koo - both of whom are dearer than a goat in Tacs basement...and yes I admit to being puzzled by M'Kay's selection.....so why not give Cutting a go to show he is worth being 8th in line for a test bowling spot

phurt...this is a mild day...need only factor 160 subscreen (we have a limited ozone layer these days)...not that ozone depletion and global warming is caused by humans...it is part of the natural cycle as the MM assures us...the only bumps are caused by flatulent bannie cows that are in gross over supply nowadays

I am. I may gripe about one day cricket, but it's better than watching 64 channels of nothing on Foxy. Pretty hot in the Knee of Syd this arvo, so a good day for cursing at Con.horace wrote:skully wrote:Do you have a cold, h?horace wrote:...need only factor 160 subscreen
