Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, 3rd ODI, Pallekele, 28 March, 2013
Missed putting a 2nd ODI thread up, but it didn't matter - it was washed out after only 5 overs.
So Bangers can square the series with a win!!!
And then we have a T20 to look forward to.

At least the Bangers seem to be slowly improving.

Thought international cricket had already shut down for the BanIndia slogfest... maybe this scheduling is a case of "how to make a SL-Ban JAMODI appealing to the genuine cricket fan"!

It is tempting to suggest that a genuine cricket fan won't give a rat's arse about an ODI involving Bangladesh.

And now England is returning the compliment.

hopefully our period of being rubbish does not last as long as the pomgolians or the saffies for that matter...in the 20 or so years since sa was admitted to test cricket playing status there were periods when your team was poor...happily SA found some talent, purged the cheats and stopped choking

No, but slightly more of a rat's arse than the IPL perhaps?Basil wrote:beamer wrote:Thought international cricket had already shut down for the BanIndia slogfest... maybe this scheduling is a case of "how to make a SL-Ban JAMODI appealing to the genuine cricket fan"!

Sweet Jayzus - Lankans 1-170 after 31 overs!! 370 could be in the offing.

Apologies for the use of "offing" twice in consecutive posts.

Wow, the Bangers won?? At 1-170 off 31, the Lankans should've got way more than 302. Well done to the Deshis on restricting them then making the most of the DL target reduction.

A 1-0 test loss and 1-1 in the ODIs. Best tour for them?
They did their best to make it a tight match.

Re: Sri Lanka v Bangladesh, 3rd ODI, Pallekele, 28 March, 2013
Nice work by the Bdeshis for most of the match.
Good to see them get this win without Shakib.
They do seem to be fairly competitive in the ODI sphere nowadays.
They've played three ODI series since the start of 2012, all against "top 8" sides, 12 matches in total, 6 wins, 5 losses, 1 NR.
First there was the Asia Cup, where they won 2 out of 3 prelims, then lost the final by 2 runs, that sucked.
Late last year they won a series against the Windies 3-2. And now they have drawn up with Sri Lanka, away.

Wow - unexpected.
Does this say more about the state of SL's cricket rather than Bangladesh's?
