The players change so often that the teams have no identity unless you have connections with a particular part of India. Only opinion I have on any of the teams is that I don't like the team who wear Arsenal kit (if they still do, that is!)

That is not the worst of it. What is truly amazing (in a very bad way) is that the same player plays in half a dozen different teams in the same year, and then these teams play against each other in the so called champions league. Cricket has reduced players to the level of street hookers...

I have no problems in saying I quite like 20-20 cricket - even if not to the extent of test cricket, of course. It would be nice if there was a proper league structure to the franchise based club cricket like other sports.

As things stand - even the so called champions league which has an official window in the FTP - is a bogus tournament where IPL gets to have greater number of teams just because it is BCCI. No proper rules, nothing...

Whats the point of cricket if it isn't going to include every player from Pakistan! Even the Ashes is going to have 2 Pakistani players this year.

It's now boring and over done.

All the Bollywood wannabes are going to the BPL.

And that's ignoring the Tamil Nadu Sri Lanka ******.

Although the IPL deemphasizes Test cricket somewhat, I am hopeful that the huge money will attract more young people to play cricket, generally.

Including sponsorships etc, MS Dhoni made 26 million USD last year. Strange days indeed.

ridiculous. if it was any other team besides csk, and maybe bombay, the matches would have been shifted out immediately

India's next test series is 6 months away, so enough time recuperate from the inevitable IPL injuries. Get to see some new kids on the block like Rasool, Pandey, Mohit, Chand, Zol, Warrier etc.
