Re: Fat ****** to lead Lankan cricket
And his role in leading/transforming that team is probably underrated by many.

Fair enough. So he's cheat for life.
So is Healy a cheat for stumping Lara at the GABBA in 1992? (WITHOUT THE BALL) Should I call him a cheat too?

Re: Fat ****** to lead Lankan cricket
One of the Saffie commentators last night was telling an interesting story about Kallis and Ranatunga. At the 1999 WC, Ranatunga did something to piss off Kallis (he might have appealed for a dodgy catch which was given out). Kallis was so angry that he demanded the new ball (one of the few times he has opened the bowling) and went on dismiss Jaya, Kalu and Marvan in his first spell bowling up to 150kmh.
So the Fat ****** doesn't just annoy the Aussies.

I'm talking about people abiding by the umpire's decision. I don't understand the relevance of the incident you mention. However, do you know for a fact that Healy KNEW he didn't have the ball when he made that stumping attempt? An appeal is basically "I think I've got him out, umpire, but what do you think?" ... and apparently in that case the umpire thought he'd got him out, too.

Re: Fat ****** to lead Lankan cricket
Agree to disagree?
Point is, there was a lot of confusion over the stumping. Healy didn't know if the ball hit the stumps by the look on his face and all the commotion he had with Taylor for 30 seconds afterwards, but he (and both) still didn't feel the need to recall Lara back to the crease. Admittably he does regret this after he retired.
In any case, let's just leave it.

Happy to leave it; I like players who cop good decisions and bad equally.
