So very very sage.
We are going through our 6 monthly performance reviews at the moment. One of the new boxes to fill out for managers is to provide examples where "role modelled appropriate behaviour".
I am not making this shit up.

Goodonya young fella JGK.
Personnel are the Erics Anazi 'si of organisational life.
They are desperado to invent a knowledge base that is definably theirs. If organisational gossip and craven obedience to the bwana they may have it....

Don't you have some Bannie in your blood? Can't you just strut about saying "I'm a bannie, deal with it. If you do, you get a tick"?

Re: Cricinfo
One of my crew was stuck in a very longwinded and useless personnel run development course. Had to haul him out to urgently prep some info for an idiot Minister who had been caught in a jam. Rang down to their floor to get my crew member back. They refused! Went down and interrupted the workshop to the guy out. He was so happy! When the deadhead running the snorathon objected, I suggested she might like to personally explain to the Minister why she thought his requirements were at the bottom of her concerns.

Exactly my point, they add exactly SFA value, but keep inventing BS workshops etc, to justify their vast salaries.

Re: Cricinfo
Well i try and avoid the cricinfo app (which is awful and very limited) and just use the site through safari on my iPad. But yeah, the new version isn't great. As has been mentioned, the live averages have gone. And articles related to the same match/series aren't all bunched together. They are spread out over the entire page which makes no sense.

Re: Cricinfo
Seems to get worse with every upgrade.
I used to really like the stats-career stats link which allowed me to look at the live career stats of each player involved in the match on one page, rather than (for games still in play) having to look at the career stats of each player before that match began, individually.
Cricket archive is a better site for stats now, IMO, but of course they want payment!

Hate it. Note the reference to 'bespoke' in the sales pitch; tells you everything you know. Designed (translation: completely stuffed) by clueless hipster wankers.

Re: Cricinfo
He's not completely wrong. If they get more mobile traffic, then their current version is far superior to their previous.
Evidently, the desktop version will take getting used to and requires live averages and all those things.
