Yeah, we've seen some pretty uninspired batting displays in recent days, a couple of the matches rescued as a spectacle by being low-scoring cliffhangers but far from the 300-a-side fare we were expecting based on some of the warm-up games.

Either that or the low scoring WI / Pak match.

A really close batting match would be nice, though. Remember, as an England fan, I have to put up with blockathons over 90% of the time.

Yeah, and low scoring one-day games are generally snoozeworthy unless they do happen to end up very close. There can be spells of great bowling to light them up, but generally numerous overs of blocking and scratching around.
