Longest Cricketing Chain Name
So I got thinking one time, what is the longest cricketing chain name that you can come up with? If you're confused, you'll see what I mean. I'm thinking that the most likely length would be from Islamic names, or maybe West Indian because they use surnames as first names more than Anglos.
This is the best I got, pretty good, probably. Can you beat it?
Saqlain Mushtaq Mohammed Aamer Sohail Tanvir Ahmed
Saqlain Mushtaq
Mushtaq Mohammed
Mohammed Aamer
Aamer Sohail
Sohail Tanvir
Tanvir Ahmed
Six players. Can you add to it? I'm just a bit braindead ATM, couldn't think of an Ahmed first name etc.
They can obviously be from different countries, just got to fit together.

You know, I'd almost feel a little ashamed.... if you hadn't used a Freaky Friday reference. Get back in your box, Allan D.

Re: Longest Cricketing Chain Name
A name like Aamer is almost never the "real" last name, a lot of people in Pakistan don't really use their last name and just decide to stop at their middle names. In Aamer's case he seems to be missing both his middle AND last name as "Mohammed Aamer" seems like a first name.
Here is a list of the people who i knew in Pakistan
1- Zeeshan Hameed Choudary( Last name Not used)
2- Bilal Khaliq Mandookil (Last name not used)
3- Ali Asad Bokhari ( ditto)
4- Bilal Haider lasa-something...
I always knew the first and the middle name of these people but didn't find out about their last name until i was about to take a plane to the US.

Ahh, reduced to the level of ridicule. That's as good as it gets, I suppose.
Re: Longest Cricketing Chain Name
In fairness, Monkey, it was a good thread.
Except it was sh*t.
I know. I've been there.
Not very often, but I have been there.

Re: Longest Cricketing Chain Name
Well I was genuinely intrigued as to whether it could be beaten - at least JGK added to it. So the work is done. And I'll remember to just PM JGK if I want any answer to anything.
I can console myself that at least it wasn't some quasi-philosophical meme diatribe.

Yer wha'?
You mistake good humour for derision, old fruit.
You will be calling a bonobo wank (*) an aggressive act next.
(*) a favourite pastime of bonobos as opposed to chimps, I am told.
And I did produce you a "genuine" 11-link chain (see above - @ 3.20 this morning :-O )

Soz - I thought Benjamin Frank was some sort of gimpo hornswaggle - well done, m'lady - hands down wreck up.
You win a scented panda hammer.
Re: Longest Cricketing Chain Name
Benjamin Frank could be a Victorian Tory sausage-lover, or a constructed Caribbean seam-bowling monster, it's true.
But he does exist.
As Galileo said: But it does move. (Or "Eppur si muove", to be exact.)
