So one of his first acts as Coach is to forgive the team's biggest problem player, whilst at the same time berating the one player who has given his all for Aus over the last year?

Sounds reasonable enough to me:

"We'll see whether he plays or doesn't play in Worcester, the main thing for him is making sure he's ready to go. Bowlers are a different species at the best of times, mentally and physically, but for me it's a case of making sure they play the best they can each game. We want him to bowl well each and every time, whether it's a tour game or a Test match, and he knows that."

I'd suggest that Siddle has earn't the right to decide what's best for him leading into a test series. If he goes and charges in full pelt against the Worcs second XI plus Compo and does a hamstring, he and Lehmann will look a right pair of twits.

Siddle is a tryer, but he's nothing special. If Aus line up in the first Test with Pattinson, Starc and Harris they won't be losing much.

He top scored in both innings of a Test, surely there's no way they can leave him out...

150 test wickets at just under 29. He's underrated.

Fair play, yes he did. Showed the rest of them how to bat - although runs didn't save Dizzy from the axe....

Siddle has always required a lot of work to find form...but when he does get the work in he is quite consistent....struggled with rotation because of this...despite his reasonable record he is always a borderline selection...his style is not conducive to pomgolian conditions...

The best thing Boof could do is hit Warner with a clean piece of slate - a piece weighing 20 kg.

I never thought I'd see the day where David Warner and Phil Hughes were competing for a spot in the Aus Test side.

Cot should be gunned for either Rhino or Tweet, with Patto and Koo sure things. I'd go with Rhino.

Siddle always gives his all ... I would not mind seeing 4 pace bowlers and Lyon in the side, with Haddin at 6. It's not as though Warner or Hughes would make runs if chosen, anyway ... I'd back Siddle to make more runs than both of them combined on most occasions.

He seems to be giving the pampered jesses what they want and gunning the good soldiers.

So far it's all talk. If he chooses the likes of Wade, Warner and Hughes over players like Siddle and Harris I'll be very very disappointed. If we're going to lose I want to see our blokes trying their guts out and absolutely hating to lose, not whinging and whining like the entitled pretty Spivs they've appeared to be on some recent occasions.

I thought Arthur was quite astute - i.e.

Watson = fatted up shitweasel crock, with no Test ton for an age.
Warner = braindead lunatic with serious technical issues.

But, who knows, with a few cuddles and toys they may turn out OK. Certainly Watson has the talent to open - has just been a shitmuncher so far.

But I think Boof has much shrewder man management skills than the Arth.
