If Boof sees that, he'll scoff the lot.

TBH I don't mind which three of the six Australian pace bowlers are selected. I think they are all quality bowlers but it is hard to comment on the form of Harris, Bird & Faulkner without actually watching the FC matches they have played in England.

Agreed. Any 3 of the six will be more than a handful for the English batsmen.

Changes?
Eng - Brezzy for Finn?
Aus - Uzzy for Moo? Rhino for Koo? A spot for Elmer?
Elmer comes in only if they think Haddin or Agar can bat at 6 and for Cowan. Or he could come in for Twatto, Hughes goes back up the order and Koala plays at first drop.
Don't think Starc needs dropping, wouldn't Rhino mean no left-arm seamer? Either way, nice dilemma to have.
Cowan must be on borrowed time but in India I thought he was at least one of the best of a shit line up. He at least showed he could grind out an innings. Fark all signs of that here though.

Oh yeah, Faulkner is touring. Is Hilf really a peg below him? Depth coming out of their ears

I reckon the Aussies are getting too seduced by their own pace bowling depth. Sure, you've got a lot of talented quicks, but how will Starc feel if he's dropped? What does it do to his confidence? Has he even played more than two consecutive tests in his career so far?
Chopping and changing a side constantly can start to open mental scars. I don't think Aus have played the same side two tests in a row for about a year, have they?
You very, very nearly won a test against much more fancied opponents. Pick the same side and back then to go that little bit further next time.

It's not just non-Aussie forummers. I don't know half, or maybe even three-quarters of the nicknames that get bandied about. Sometimes I can work them out, but I'd really just prefer to talk cricket without having to work out who's who.

I don't see the point. Each to their own, I suppose. Makes it difficult to join the convo at times. I usually pick them up quickly, but I frequent this place a lot.
Re: England v Australia, 2nd Test, Lords, 18-22 July, 2013
Farkin too hard basket for me.
why is Mike Hussey nicknamed Paris?
Cowan is Moo as in cow? Fark me that is scrapping the bottom of the barrel of creativity.

Starc is still very young. He is still developing. He had a huge summer thanks to injuries and he had a bug summer last time because of other injuries too.
So he's had a lot of exposure already, has a lot of time to develop further.
I don't think he needs to be dropped but can't see anything wrong with bringing Harris in, especially if he can keep the intensity up that was lacking in the second innings.
When you have such a rabble as our batting line up, not even knowing which keeper we have is a better batsman or glovesman as well as very brittle pacers, it's easy to understand why the team changes so much.

Hussey, as in hussy. As in Paris and Nicky Hilton.
Paris = Michael (older)
Nicky = David (younger)
I haven't even established, really, whether the two women in question are indeed hussies.
