That's 5th worst avoided. Next is 425 runs deficit.

It might be just that he's facing better bowlers in a desperate 4th innings situation, but although Pup's batting better than he has been lately he's still not looking much like the bloke from the last two home summers who couldn't get himself out if he tried.

--Swann beat Quodge pointless twice in the first over back
UK is, it must be said, not looking like a million bucks out there.
But (shrugs) he's still out there. Maybe he'll settle in.

Looks at ease v pace. The advantage he has is that the ball is spinning a mile out of the rough and he's unlikely to get near them. The danger is the straight one that he plays outside.OP Tipping wrote:--Swann beat Quodge pointless twice in the first over back

Should give Trott an over or two before tea.
Secret weapon.
Or another way of looking at it, has done feck all with the bat this match - time for him to step up and hit a worn bit with his wibbly-wobbles.
Then the five real bowlers can get back to work after tea.
