Geebers- back in Oz under the rule of the madmonk
harrummphff
finally back in Oz at5 the nursing home after 2 months away...after spending a lot of time in Africa and a bit of time at the end checking out real estate and ruining what remains of my liver it was time to return to Ozmania...
apparently a mad monk won an election while I was out of the joint...watched the airline map as the plane returned into Ozmania airspace and broke into an out of control sneezing fit...within 48 hours of returning my car was broken into in a 'secure' garage and lost the laptop that had a pile of photos and documents I had worked on in Malawi
...how refreshing after spending time with some of the poorer people on the planet (North and East Africa and Ireland) to re-experience Australian values...
Even worse it seems our cricket team remains on a sharp downhill incline and i arrived home to watch my footy team (such were the injuries there were players I did not know inthe team) get slaughtered like a goat..
oh well how is everyone here?...not sure when I last posted - just after the news of Mynah's untimely death I guess...wifi where I was in Ireland was less reliable than in malawi...the celtic tiger is as dead as dodo

yep but only in transit on the way between Malawi and Dubai...was there a few weeks after the terminal burnt down...was stuck there for 7 hours in transit with lounge or smoking area...but bribed a few local airport workers and was incredibly well looked after..JGK wrote:Did you go to Nairobi in your travels?

Mostly wonderful, yes.
A Test win or two might have been nice. Gallipoli was the highlight though.

hehehehe....thanx for the tip embee...I have already acquired lots of seal and whale blubber (had a bit of a problem getting it through customs) and have cornered the market on vaseline to protect the body from the kero baths
