At least until Smith's son Seamus makes his debut for number one ranked test side Ireland in 2036.

For Red, there's more to life than Biff.
There's the whole South African side - individually and if need be, collectively.

Red will still be able to remind Taips that South Africa haven't won a home series against Australia for over 40 years.

Re: Red announces retirement from Flaming Bails
not comparable, as you well know...people here had the vote, propoerty rights, could marry who they wished- the restriction here was the bias against asian immigration and recognition of the human rights of Aboriginal people ...SA was a complete fascist racist state, with opposition jailed and murdered by the military and the police on a systemic basis

Fair enough. They were Asian so it wasn't racist then.

And that's not a form of fascism . . . yeah, right horrace!
So. . . you can vote, marry whom you like and own property, but hey, you got no human rights man . . .
And you, Charlie Chan . . . stay on the boat, or else . . .
Go figure!

of course it was racism...both directed to Aboriginal people and people from asia...the points of difference with SA was the latter was a full blown violent fascist state...as I have argued many times here - the past 20 years has seen the reintroduction of effectively racist positions in national public policy - the position on refugees being a case in point
