Johan Botha
Is he still eligible for South Africa? I reckon he'd get a go as their main spinner these days if he is.

He's a chucker. He would'nt stand up to the scrutiny at international level.

True, he's not a subbie.

He's been reported several times, hasn't he? Seems to throw about half of his deliveries, although (like Murali) he CAN bowl with a straight arm when he needs to.

Re: Johan Botha
I would like to know why South Australia thought it would be a good idea to have him playing Sheffield Shield for them.
1. He's a chucker.
2. He is the most ultra-defensive cricketer currently playing the game. His batting is ultra-defensive. His bowling is ultra-defensive. His captaincy is ultra-defensive. Would anyone pay good money to watch Johan Botha play cricket? I think most people would rather go to the dentist than watch Botha.
3. He is a chucker.
4.He is a terrible role model for children playing the game. Not only is he a chucker but he has also now been suspended for ball tampering as well as receiving a reprimand for using "obscene, offensive or insulting" language during NSW's first innings. http://www.cricket.com.au/news-list/2014/3/7/botha-to-appeal-ball-tampering-ban
5. He is a chucker
6. He is taking the place of a promising young South Australian cricketer.
7. He is a chucker.

And where are South Australia placed on the Sheffield Shield ladder this season? And who is their captain? And where have they placed with other captains who's names weren't Johan Botha?
He's a chucker, yes. But that seems to be ok these days. If the ICC was anything like consistent, Botha would be allowed to bowl as long as Ajmal is.

So winning matches is entirely due to the captain?
That is very strange logic.
I would have thought it is more to do with the form of the players.

No-one said that.
But Botha is a poor captain. He has cost his team a few potential wins this season by batting too long. He is ultra-defensive.

No, it's not.
But I didn't write the post full of out of the blue Botha hatred.
