The Scotty independence poll - Harry Potter waves his wand
Have not seen comment elsewhere on the independence poll and so at the risk of acquiring a NTR here goes ...it seems Harry Potter has waved his wand and conjured a million quid into the basket of those campaigning to stay in the union (or stay under London's yoke - depending on your viewpoint).

what are the views of our English mates...any sympathy for the scotties?...what would be the impact on recruiting scotty cricketers?

hehe...given how scotties murder food when they 'cook' it, they might be healthier on lighter rations

Re: The Scotty independence poll - Harry Potter waves his wand
All polls point to a No vote, and have remained virtually unchanged for a year. I wouldn't put it past the Scots to go with their hearts and vote for independence, but I can't see how any open-minded, thinking person would be swayed by the nationalists' scattergun, blustering campaign - all bravado and no facts.
And I've yet to hear anyone explain what will happen to the millions of Scottish residents who have mortgages with British banks. How's that going to work? Seems to me that'd be quite a pressing issue, but no-one's talking about it - too busy banging their chests and deep frying Mars bars.

And, of course, what happens to JKLever? Will they send him back or ceremonially burn him in a giant wicker phallus?

A million squids to the NO campaign - blah - that's nothing!horace wrote:Have not seen comment elsewhere on the independence poll and so at the risk of acquiring a NTR here goes ...it seems Harry Potter has waved his wand and conjured a million quid into the basket of those campaigning to stay in the union (or stay under London's yoke - depending on your viewpoint).

Try 5 million squids donated by the 160 million lottery winner
(a balding Scot with a waistline approaching 60 inches)
to the YES to independent Scotland camp -
for which the rabid Alec Salmond (Scottish 1st Secretary) was extremely grateful.
Won't happen though. . . but if it does, excellent news for the rest of the UK.

Holding Dan responsible for the referendum result is a bit harsh.

No, but they aren't alone. Actually I did nob a couple of them once. But they now hate me. Still, there's a plethora of Brass-haters. Probably from every country in the world.

'Englander pig dog' in all the comics I read. Invariably a self-trevving comment, it was.
