Re: England v India, 5xODIs + 1xT20, 25 August - 7 September, 2014
Looks an exciting finish to the Indian Summer. 17 needed off the last and Dhoni got it down to a boundary to tie off the last ball, but only squeezed a single. Woakes ay? Nerves of steel!!
So, with a comprehensive win in the Tests, a mere 1-3 loss in the JAMODIs and a shellacking of the Bannies in the Clown game, shirley it's a moral victory for England??

Looking at the score, the last 4 or 5 overs were something special from Morgan and Ravi. Might have to have a squiz at the replay this arvo.

Yeah worth a squiz for a bit of a giggle Skulls.
The Morgs/Buttler/Bops show was pretty awesome (if you like that sort of thing!)
67 off the last 5 overs was no mean feat and that's what got Engerlund over the line
when all's said and done.
Coaley was his arrogant strutting self - all bloated and stuffed up, scoring "big" in a hit n giggle -
(absolute qunt - he always will be) as was the portly and overweight Raina (he of the high pitched scream!)
Rahane's catch in the deep off Morgs was awesome.
For all his faults (yep, he was stoopid not taking singles when they were on offer) I regard Dhoni
as top drawer. This guy never knows when he's beaten - awkward, clumsy, gangly and
airey-fairey most times with the bat, but when he hits a ball, it stays hit for a long way. Fair dues to him..
Final word for all those ignorant Brummies who constantly booed Moeen Ali yesterday -
Unnecessary, uncouth and so reflective of the pea-brained ignorant Brummie (small section) attitude.
Just for that, I think it's time Edgbaston was knocked off its perch as an International cricket venue.
A***holes.
PS - For the horrie man ... Chef was not part of this set-up. Seems after this showing, a couple of
selectors may now be thinking about re-aligning behind Morgan for the ODI captaincy ... let's hope.

Dhoni refused to condemn the Indian supporters who booed Moeen, saying that Jadeja had received similar treatment earlier in the tour. Someone should point out to him that it's not similar when Jadeja is being booed for a particular incident, whereas Moeen is being booed for his heritage. That is just out and out racial/religious discrimination and should not be tolerated.
Dhoni also said that overall the tour had been a success for India. Geez, has he always been this arrogant/ignorant? You get the feeling he thinks he can say/not say whatever he wants. I used to think he was a decent bloke. Now he just comes across as an aloof, arrogant tosser.

I think Dhoni DOES see himself as the Maharajah. Just shines more light on the greatness to TLM, who always carried himself with grace and humility.

Like practically ALL the overpaid, overinflated and arrogant Bannies.
Dhoni is, allegedly, the richest and most highly paid professional cricketer in the game - has been for some years now - and, like the dickheads Coaley, Rinsey-Raina and Jughead Jadeja, they will continue to be that way.
Even Ravi Shastri has now taken on the arrogant air of the greatest coach to have ever lived - sunshades and all,
even in the gloom of a fading-light and sun-less Edgbaston!
My fave in the Bannie team however, is Bhunni Kumar. An unassuming grafter who bowls tidily and can bat a bit. Very much under Dhoni's thumb though.

Aye, gone are the days when Venkat, Kapil, Chandrasekar, Bedi and latterly, TLM, Dravid and VVS graced the cricket field.
Now it's all bling and beards and arrogance and over-inflated egos ...
Still .... they're shit and remain shit at Test cricket!

Apparently, racism is fine as long as it's Indians doing it. Ask Andrew Symonds.

Farewell MS Dhoni, don't let the door smack you up the arse on your way through Heathrow.
