Killing our fast bowlers?
I think most of the Aus posters on here are pretty shat off at the curators clearly being told to prepare dead 5 day wickets. I don't care if they aren't green, but FFS at least have some bounce in them. I find it exhausting watching Midge, Rhino, Hazy and others toiling away for hours with fark all assistance.
This is Aus, you CA qunts!!! Give us back our bouncy wickets, cos we are sure never gonna get 'em in any other country (save maybe SAf).

Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
youre never going to get ca to put anything before the $$$$$
the only way well get decent pitches is if people stop watching and make it plain that thats why. and even that will take ages to sink in. not that its gonna happen with the slogathon crazy crowds who think t20 is whow its meant to be

Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
the pitches for the Ashes series were the bog standard pitches served up by each ground every year. The were reasons why some of the tests finished well inside the 5 days - we batted and bowled well and the English were rubbish.
turning all our pitches into identikit versions of the hated AO to be kind to visiting teams and/or maximise revenues is ridiculous.
Bowlers like Harris should take CA to court for the additional stress placed on their knees and bodies

Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
This is the problem, though. I doubt it works the same in Aus, but the grounds buy the Test match off the board and then have to make their money back. It's an unfortunate situation. I thought it would be different in Aus, maybe it is and they're just being exceptionally greedy. But it kills a bit of the magic of Test cricket. No wonder some cricket fans are getting focked off with it.
Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
It's different in Oz are there are fewer grounds.

Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
Test cricket allows for a result within five days. There is no law that says Tests must go near or to the distance.

Re: Killing our fast bowlers?
interesting. only one ball over 149 and that was caught in the midfield in front of the wicket. but the accuracy is the stuff of any cricket lovers wet dreamsskully wrote:Good times!! CA take note, you qunts!!
