Re: World Cup 2015 (IV)
I hate when they harp on about anticlimactic Finals. There have only been 3 exciting Finals in the history of the WC. The 1st, the 3rd and the 4th, FFS. The rest were one sided doddles.

When it comes to Australia you guys don't have the faintest whiff of a clue about cricket.JGK wrote:lardbucket wrote:2-76; could still easily go either way.
Lardy knows his cricket. Don't forget, a tie isn't enough for Australia.

Well.. Congrats to Aus, they've been the second best team in the tournament up until today. Deep down one always thought an away final was a bridge too far for NZ. As I'm not a supporter, I'll probably go to work now and stop wasting my time

Another nice shot by Pup to take us past the 70% mark.

Geez Smuthy finds it impossible not to go the Capt Hangdog routine when NZ are going down. No wonder Tony Grieg used to have so much fun winding him up.

Most of us tipped this scenario before the tournament but the kiwis haven't given a yelp. Williamson poor in the finals, black day for McCullum.
A home win for a home crowd though regardless of how boring the match is in essence.

Pup's going to end a scrote short of 8000 JAMODI runs.

I thought this morning how appropriate it would be if he could get the 93 he needed for 8000 in this innings.

Pretty much this, but by work, I'd mean fap. It's been a good tournament for NZ regardless, and a very good one for Australia of course. Overall though, even ignoring this match, this tournament has been generally shit.Brass Monkey wrote:Well.. Congrats to Aus, they've been the second best team in the tournament up until today. Well luckily for him his teammates made enough runs to get him into the final after he failed in the quarters and semi.
A dull tournament save for one good semi, the first NZ/Oz match and a couple of epic minnow tussles.
Australia just too good again. The rest of the world needs to get their act together - four out of the last five tournaments is ridiculously dominant.

So Boult and Starc finish the tournament on 22 wickets.
Fitting - they have both been brilliant.
