Re: England v Australia, 1st Test, Cardiff, 8-12 July, 2015
Should be a top series - none of the old cuss cuss, and polenta of runs. Pity the porridges that have to bowl on those puddings ...

That would be amusing; there isn't much belfery love here, and recently bats have rarely spent much time in Belfery.
Just a thought, if he scores runs quickly, is that Belfast? Or is that his own version if Ramadan?

Looks like Mitch Marsh was more impressive than Watson in the race to stake a place for the first test.
We do know though that Watto seems to be almost immovable if all limbs are in relative working order.

Clarke is considering playing both Watto and Mitch Marsh.

Playing both Marsh AND Watson simply wouldn't make sense. Who would they drop? Rogers?

You can't start shooting selectors.
We Englanders have a patent on it. At least pending.

Essex could make a dent in Aus morale. 8 wkts, 290 runs 64 overs. Gettable.

All out for 200. Starc and Haze in the wickets.

Aye, at 2-140 things looked dodgy but it seems Pup was giving Elmer an extended unsuccessful bowl and Bops and ten deshitter loved him. Once Koo and Hazy got the cherry again it was all over red rover.

Guess the Australian 12 is pretty clear now, too, with the only slight uncertainty over which two of Rogers/Warner/SMarsh will be chosen.
Rogers
S Marsh (Warner)
Smith
Clarke
Voges
Watson
MMarsh
Haddin
Johnson
Hazlewood
Starc
Lyon
with 12th to be decided on the day

Looks pretty close to what we'll see. S Marsh is hard done by if he misses out, and either Watson or Mitch Marsh looks likely to be 12th; probably Watson, although I would (narrowly) choose him at 6 for this game, for his experience of English conditions, and his first slip work.
I'm not sure Cummins was the right call, either. He's probably just there to be coached by Rhino!

This would be my XI, but I bet farkin Twatness gets yet another undeserved go, probably at the expense of Vague (which would be ferkin ridiculous).
