Get farked, the lot of yez. Tough work week plus have now had to shoot up to the Mum's to help out with a few dramas.Nath wrote:taipan wrote:WTF is Skully?

But she has broadband now, huzzah!!
Well done England. What a difference a lack of the Warne/Pidg intimidation factor makes. Poms played with confidence and even a hint of arrogance.
Thought we'd be 3-20 at lunch after the English tail slapped an easy 100 runs in no time. Swann looks a find.
I still think we are farked though. If we don't make 400 we will lose the Test and find it very hard to overcome a rampant England.

He is a class act when it comes to confidence.
Not a bad cricketer, either.

I wish it was "No Haurie". FFS, that was painful to watch.Fred Nerk wrote:No Horrie either.
And after 3 plumb lbws turned down, what chance Doctrove gives a couple of shockers in favour of England? Or should this be in the Sook thread?

Looking a bit cloudy for the next session. Still, it's nice to see what Cardiff looks like in sunshine.

Henry wrote:Strauss is a very 'by the book' captain. England had all the momentum at the start of the Aus innings, and an adrenaline fuelled burst from Flintoff with the crowd right behind him would have been ideal.
C'mon Trev ...
H T F can you blame Strauss for the total crap his bowlers served up?
Clearly the plan was Jimmy and Dense-head to open, with Swanny having a dart just before lunch.
If the two opening bowlers lack the nouse to put it on the spot rather than feed a batsman's Vee outside offstump,
I repeat, WTF can a captain do other than bollock them titless during lunch?

He could do what Nasser did: turn purple and bollock them titless on the field.

Broad seems to bowl with no nous at all. Or maybe it's just that he doesn't have the artillery to threaten.

There's something very funny about how Freddie reacts when he does something wrong, like drop a catch.

Wouldn't say heroic. Overblown, in much the same way as Lee's 'chainsaw charlie' is. But it was a good catch by Prior, which will probably go unnoticed because it was the fat lipped freak who did the bowling.

Overblown : sooky comment of the day?
I meant a "heroic pose" - the pose of a gladiator. Unlike your good self, I don't make every comment subjective!

England have def got a new air of confidence about them. Something I've not seen for a long time. They really do seem to have self belief. I likes it
