Re: Australia v New Zealand, 1st Test, Brisbane, 5-9 November, 2015
Will the crocked Southee be able to turn out a second time? Even if so, surely he'll be a walking wucket?
(And otherwise my, New Zealand, what a long tail you've got....)
EDIT: BJ goes, ... "and now ... the end is near ...."

Bren gone, and now more crumble than a bowl of muesli.

Aren't they only 5 down?
Meanwhile, a century in a session coming up for Mukka.
Marsh to McCullum, OUT, keeps a bit low and comes in off the pitch as McCullum jumps back to work a back-of-a-length ball into the leg side, and there are two appeals. One for lbw, one for a catch at slip as Smith dives forward to grab it low. Nigel Llong raises his fingers, gestures to indicate he gave it out caught, and replays have shown quite clearly that it went straight off the pad. McCullum doesn't look happy as he walks off. New Zealand have no reviews left, and are eight balls away from regaining them. Hit him on the jump too. Will be interesting to see if it was lbw
BB McCullum c Smith b Marsh 80 (80b 10x4 2x6) SR: 100.00

Still, if hadn't allowed Watling to Watto away their last review he would have been able to challenge it.

FFS - take the freaking last wicket.
Current partnership 44 runs, 6.4 overs, RR: 6.60 (Boult 15, Craig 25)

good on this last pair for fighting. keep it up long enough and the weather will save them
pity about mccullum. two more overs and theyd have had a review to use on the decision. one bad call wrecked their chance to win
not that the umpire can be blamed too much. there were definitely two sounds. except that even real time on the tv it didn't look like it hit the bat

Pretty clear result in the end...good 2nd innings effort by the snoozies and they were a little unlucky as well...
Hendrix again bowled poorly and was outbowled by Marsh

Well done, boys.
I'm pleased that McSofty seems to have got into Puddle's ear and told him to constantly hit a length and nibble the ball. He looked good with the ball over the past couple of days. The other 2 Mitchs were a bit hit and miss but did the job. Elmer looks a class above Snoozie Craig. Hazy needs to concentrate on his Pidg length.
So it looks a safe bet that Aus will be unchanged for Perth, which starts on Friday.

When Mango was shafted, 6 wkts had already fallen, the Kiwis were less than half way to their target and one of the remaining bats could hardly bend his back. Hanging on like grim death to a bad call much?

ETG is smoking some outstanding Tassie weed. Has anyone seen ETG and Trev in the same room?
Sure Mukka was sawn off, but if Watling hadn't of made a Twatto-like referral the previous over, he would've had red ink at the end and probably 140 to his name when the final wicket fell.

Smith waving the new broom? He was not tardy with his opinion...and it seemed that was the cue for CA to swing into action.

Meh, I'd happily have a beer with Trev AND not spread bullshit about it, ala taccy.

Well played Australia. Resounding win.
Now, can NZ do a quick bit of "cooking" and be ready to put up a better challenge in the second Test? Boult in particular needs a wire brush on his rust.
I hope they guv Henry another chaince - raw as he may be.
