The pitch is all broken up at both ends. And we've only had one day of the test.

Shit, should've been playing New Zealand on this pitch. Then 500/1 would've been par for India.

But if they're trying to draw in the crowds that way, they can't just approximate it as closely as 4 innings allow to a 20T - India need to be allowed to win it.
Of course, the real answer to the mystery is TV. How few households in India now have a set?
Bugger. ".... now DON'T have a set?" was what I meant. I hope obviously.

That was my reaction when I saw the state of the pitch in the post-Tea session. FMD, what's it gonna look like by day 3, let alone Day 5?

So much for my prediction of it being a batsman's paradise.

Crikey, last I looked the SAffers were doing OK at 2-80-odd. Apparently* it was all downhill after that.

Yeah, SA's batting line-up looks freakishly shithouse.

Aye, 2 spinner strategy, so 5 batsmen and an unproven keeper/batsman. Why does this not surprise me.

Looks like SA needs AB as keeper again even though it's not the greatest thing for him. Surely they cannot afford Vilas at #6. Duminy injured does not help matters. When they rely a lot on spin you know things aren't running their way.

It was a total misselection. The new idiot in charge panicked when JP was injured and brought in a spinner in place of a batsman. Sheer stupidity.

theres something comforting about another teams management woes. it makes our mobs blunders look a little less dreadflul
but not good for the game. we need more strong teams
but not good for the game. we need more strong teams
india only made 20 more runs on the first innings. so theres not one decent batsman in the game?spangler wrote:Not a mediocre batters pitchEthics? The Gall! wrote:so its not a batters pitch?

Fark me - India could lose this here after being 2 wickets down an 180 runs ahead in a low scoring match.
