Anthony Joshua - Heavyweight Champ
Shame it came so soon after Fury.
Also a shame that Wlad took the rematch as I think he will win meaning an all British unifier is off the tables. Can't see Wlad losing to Fury twice, will be like those weird few months where Lewis lost to Rahman (and then beat him in devastating style with my favourite knock out of all time, remember staying up until stupid O clock and was not disappointed).
But this Joshua looks good, very good. Out of no where the heavy weight division is interesting.
Whether Wlad wins or loses (and I suspect he will win) I hope we get to see him take on Joshua. Be interesting to see how AJ deals with him.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. He conducts himself very well, he's sporting and he's genuinely humble. I was stunned at how quickly he got Martin out of there. Still not sure about him skill set, he might find someone with a bit of culture hard to deal with. Fury is a ducker. Whatever. The only one I'd be worried about is Deontay Wilder

I would be interested to see him against Haye. Not sure how rusty he is after retirement as haven't seen him in against a proper fighter but he didn't disgrace himself against Wlad and is obviously a "proper" fighter so if AJ could take him out then that would go some way to silencing any doubters he has (not that they are doubting without good cause, I'd also like to see him in against some more testing opposotion, 16 KOs looks impressive but there aren't many names on that list, although there aren't many names left in the HW division (although there's a few popping up now thank god)).
You're right though, in general he seems very humble but for a boxer I've never seen such humility, not saying boxers can't be nice guys but humility isn't something they are renowned for but unlike Fury, Joshua is a champion I can really get behind as he doesn't seem like a c*nt, which is rarer than talent in boxing.

If I were Joshua, I wouldn't touch Haye with a bargepole. Needs to do more, for starters, but he's got a puncher's chance. I'd make Haye earn his shot. I'd be looking to take on some of the Eastern Europeans - ones with a bit of nous and a decent chin. He needs testing out a bit more.
Re: Anthony Joshua - Heavyweight Champ
There are so many 'Championship' belts these days. There is even an Aussie who recently won the WBA heavyweight Belt. Who is the real champ? The whole thing has become something of a farce.
Re: Anthony Joshua - Heavyweight Champ
The only belts that really matter are the WBA, WBC and IBF. With maybe the WBO thrown in. Who's the real champ? Who knows until they meet. It's a championship belt, regardless.
Re: Anthony Joshua - Heavyweight Champ
Lennox Lewis was the last undisputed champ I believe, don't think the belts have been unified since him.
