I dare say this has already been asked...
...but is there any way to turn off the new intermediate step where you get a message that offers to allow you to modify you intended post or just save it. Sort of takes away from the witty reparte.

I don't think so. I'll ask.
But it only crops up if - in the time it's taken you to get your arse into gear between clicking reply and writing the post - someone else has beaten you to the punch in replying to the thread.
I'll look into it...

Ah, who's working for you, baby?
You can turn it off yourself by going into your profile ==> preferences and clicking NO to "Display the warning page of new posts :" and clicking Save.
Or you can keep it if you like it.

Save it as "no". It'll then look like it's reset again to "yes" (teething problems, I hear), but in actual fact should now be deactivated.
