Re: Australian Domestic Season 2017-18
Sorry for having other things to do than comment on that game
but what was there to say?
around 15 players out with International commitments or injury ...and ran into a player who would be on International commitments if he didnt have a Vomit personality
Phillipe looks OK
Beva and Noddy were good
Depth added to the squad
A bad game happens ...it isnt the norm
The tigs loss to the Saints last year was of a similar concern ( When everything goes right for the opposition it's easy to look bad)

embee old boy, now that you're here, I had a question for you, which I previously buried in a wall of text, but (I claim) it was your fault anyway.
To be fair this is how it went:
To be fair this is how it went:
Read The Grade Cricketer. ....
Pretty good book, but I felt it portrayed Australian grade cricket as a grim, almost joyless landscape for the most part.... Perhaps Australian forummers can comment. embee, aren't you an umpire in grade cricket?
Also, folks, I'm not starting on a cricket book reading spree, can someone point me to the relevant thread on FB, apart from this one?

Hi Furri, Embee can comment on Perth grade cricket. He often tells pretty humorous stories about events on the field.
Grade cricket in Melbourne is traditionally tough as is park cricket. But there would be few matches that are void of laughs.

NSW Women claim their 19th NWCL title with a 52 run win over the Wozzies. Great way to send off Alex Blackwell.

Holy Moises not the only bloke to suddenly find runs again - the fourth or fifth last (hard to keep count) Next Big Thing, Travis Dean, raises three figures at the WACA, his first score past 50 for the season.
(The dreaded Madonna the only bloke to miss out for NSW)

Meanwhile the Would've v Vix match is pretty even.
Ptomaine has 4 of the 5 wickets to fall.

Hard to see a result in the Tozzie v Dubbers game. Maybe Reeks FFS batted on too long.
vix close to 400 ahead and should prolly declare to give themselves a chance of a win. Stain bowling well.

Rain & a flat track has destined the Tas v NSW game to a draw. Tas 2/240 with only a day to play. Webster back in form with an unbeaten ton.

I think you wrote him off again very recently, so you can probably claim some of the credit for this ton.

Inglis and Kelly leading a good fight back and will push the match into the last day. Ptomaine has 10 wickets for the match so far.

pushing the game into the 4th day will invoke slow over penalties for the vomits (according to Ric Evans on Sport FM)

Ironic that the SCG has been a results wicket all season but just as the rains come, it's a road.

The Stain was not much chop last season for the Vix, but was still a promising top order bat. He should bat ahead of Donkey and arguably M Marsh.
Donkey should drop to 5 or 6.
