Bird and Sayers very stiff.

Based on that, our next Test XI (allowing for 2nd and Koo injuries) will be:

Wrench
Fink
Ooze
Wank
Bog
Puddle/Blowie
Ima
Sugar
Jye/Tye/Chook II
Elmer
Purple

Fark, what an ordinary looking side!!! Shocked

No way should Fink play Tests. Why the fark is Jelly there?

No Ptomaine, no Holland, no Wildebeeste.

Tye and Billy are only there for T20s. He rarely plays Shield for the Warpies.

It's a list with an eye for the WC.

The lack of red ball batting depth is beyond depressing.

At least there is no Reeks FFS or sokpoc.

Then again a couple of the Twosie kids, Monty and Harry missed out.

Aye h, Harris is stiff given there are only two openers on the list and in light of his excellent Shield season.

Maybe they should have a central contract list for red ball only with a supplementary list for players who are "rovers" for want of a better term.

Noticed in the press today it was reported that if one plays a minimum of three tests they automatically qualify for elevation to the list.

Sans Smith and Warner, the contract names looks a bit devoid of talent overall.

Some players contracts could also be restricted to only playing in Oz. The Marsh's, Uber Koala and had he not been suspended Warner could have ben given reduced contracts on this basis.

It seems Langer is about to be named as new Aust coach. I don't understand why everyone thinks he is the natural successor to Lehman. There are any number of better credentialed candidates. Gillespie, Ponting, even Tim Coyle has a better record. How about Adam Griffiths?. Took Tassie from the wooden spoon to runners up in the Shield in one season.

True. Aust will struggle to reclaim their test ranking.

When Langer took over Wozzie cricket the culture was at rock bottom

The off field had all got worse under Lachie Stevens and this was carrying over to on field performances

JL doesnt tolerate dickheads and non listeners ....

although he is a cheerleader for his troops that march to his drumbeat

Hard to say at this stage if this apparent appointment has more good or more bad elements to it

I expect CA has got pissed off with the appoint the bnlg campaign through the media. ... Is Langer the Trump of Oz cricket, with his orchestrated media types (Julian is Brennan, Marsh Snr is Manafort, Katich is the breathless KellyAnne Conway). The Spiv CA are the establishment Republicans.

The other mainland State CAs are irrelevant Dem States. Dizzy, Coyle and others with decent records as first class coaches play alternating roles as the Clintons.

TAs is of course the Cuba of Oz cricket. Punter and Boonie are the Raoul and Fidel. They don't get a vote.
