I didn’t realise this was coming up so soon.

At 1-261, this is looking highly likely. Possibly tons to all of the top 5.

Decent fightback by the Ghanis from 1-280. They took 4-48 to have the Bannies 5-328.
Just saw highlights of a non-review by the Ghanis against Darwin early in his innings. They were too slow to call for the review which showed the opener had nicked the ball. Costly.

A chance for Ashtray to make another Test ton.
Ghanis have done very well to contain the Bannies to 6-350.

Grouse effort by Afghanistan to restrict the Bannies to under 500, espesh after their 1-280 start.

Will India enforce the follow on or chase batting averages?

Bugger me, that was quick. Had a look to see what the score was at lunchtime, last I heard India were still batting, and the match was over!
Obviously a massive step up, but you’d expect a bit more fight, like Ireland showed on their debut.

Hard to know what to read into this. The Ireland comparison is not valid as they played at home against a Pakistan team who are notoriously bad "travelers" whereas Afghan payed away against India.

It was in what should have been reasonably familiar Asian conditions though, not like sending them to Headingley in May, or to face an Aussie pace attack in Perth.taipan wrote:beamer wrote:Bugger me, that was quick.
