England's number 1 spinner v Australia?
So who would you say is in pole position to get the likely 1 spinner's position for all 5 tests next time around? Rashid? Ali? Leach? A N Other? No spinner for me has nailed that spot yet and won't have done so come selection time. They may play 2 spinners in 2 of the games but who's our ace spin hope for the ashes?

I'd reckon the wickets will have the usual English green tinge so Mo will support the quicks.

Leach.
Mo as second spinner, unless his form is out with the bat.
Rashid has to be the most expendable, in English conditions. Though he might be still worth considering in Oz (if in form). The bounce makes him a different proposition.

Leach is number 1.
Mo will be included for his bits and pieces capability

Not sure they will play Leach on pitches where seam will dominate - you’re just giving up a batsman in that case for someone who will bowl 6 overs an innings (unless they want him to be opener-nightwatchman again, he might get more runs than Jennings would )
Mo at least gives you two potential contributions - but if they don’t feel he’s worth his place as a batsman, even he could miss out on a green seamer. But it’s a case of which all-rounders we want to get the right balance, particularly if we effectively have all-rounders from 3 to 9!
