Australia's Next Super Spinner
Heard on the news that CA is thinking of producing a reality TV show along the lines of Australia's Next Top Model or Football Superstar. No bullsh!t.
Warnie and GSC to oversee a bunch of the best young spinners to whittle them down to the new TGM.
Thoughts (while I see if I can find a linky)?

Linky...
CA finally realises we need another Warnie FFS
"THE prospect of an TV series designed to unearth Australia's new spin stars has been raised in a strategy meeting which will shape the nation's slow bowling future.
Australian Centre of Excellence chief executive Belinda Clark and COE spin bowling coach John Davison have just completed a recommendation paper for Cricket Australia to unearth a fresh generation of slow bowlers.
The paper was based on a seminar in Brisbane which featured most of nation's top spin bowling voices including Shane Warne, Stuart MacGill, Ashley Mallett, Terry Jenner and head COE coach Greg Chappell, The Courier-Mail reports."

There was a Find a Fast Bowler competition in England back in the 80s. One of the winners was Simon Dennis who played a few seasons for Yorkshire then Glamorgan, but he turned out to be a left-arm-medium pie merchant.
Can't remember the other winner, but I think he may have had a one-year contract with the Bears before disappearing.

You have got to be farking kidding me."THE prospect of an TV series designed to unearth Australia's new spin stars has been raised in a strategy meeting which will shape the nation's slow bowling future.

Has Australian cricket sunk so low that we are resorting to the mass media to find our cricketers?
Seriously if this goes ahead I'll lose what interest I have left for the national side.
