Re: NZ Mosque attack
How's the Turkish PM's form??!!
" Australia’s travel advice to Turkey is under review after its president said "Australians with anti-Muslim views would be sent home in coffins like their grandfathers" (a reference to those Aussies who died at Gallipoli).
Prime Minister Scott Morrison does not accept the excuses offered by Turkey for the inflammatory remarks.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was referencing the WWI battle at Gallipoli, in which thousands of Australian and New Zealand soldiers died fighting the Turks, as he responded to the Christchurch mosque massacres."

What a qunt!!!

Re: NZ Mosque attack
Did a reccee in western Turkey (guides, camps and the whatnot) at the end of 2017 with a view to an extended trip later this year. Maybe the deranged fwit is talking to a domestic audience and won't want to harm the tourist gig.

Re: NZ Mosque attack
The Turkish ambassador claimed it was a political campaign speech stunt - which ScoMo refused to accept as an explanation for the highly inflammatory and insulting remark.

Thanks Skully for the correction. I cannot turn off auto correct on this phone. Bad enough having sausage digits, but the phone is the last straw.

Re: NZ Mosque attack
I think he means voice recognition on your phone.
I only discovered this feature recently when my phone was connected to the radio in my new car. Very useful. "You have received a message. Would you like to reply?" And you speak the answer you want to send in the message.
Yes MrK, I'm very much a pleb when it comes to mobile phone technology.

I'm still answering mine the wrong way. ETF you just can't hit the flashing phone symbol instead of swiping one way or another.

ROFL ... Yes S I got the gist of Mr Ks helpful advice. I think I am the biggest dinosaur of S, Qmy and me.
Must say I like the idea of dictation. In the days before Secretaries were called EAs, I used dictation for file notes and letters. I loved it as a time savings vehicle. Anything serious I'd write longhand and then finally directly on to the computer.
My writing styles differ markedly between longhand and electronic. Recently I have been writing in exercise books. Such fun!

Hmmmn .... Maybe Skully is even less proficient then me. I have just remembered the "Watch this topic" fiasco when a helpless Skully was deluged with posts. Very funny and one of the few times I felt my IT knowledge was ahead of someone else.

I blame Zat. He orchestrated that fiasco. Thankfully, of all people, taccy came to my rescue.

Re: NZ Mosque attack
I can remember being stunned when my secretary (she insisted on the term) in the early years of this century explained how much time she could save me through dictation. When I asked her wtf knew shorthand in this day and age, I was somewhat embarrassed by her reply.
"I was an Aboriginal girl in the Territory, did you think they were going to teach me anything above my station".
