Re: Current International One Day Cricket
Fernando to Soumya, no run
Soumya's been given out caught behind off the bottom edge, but he's reviewed immediately. This was a back of a length ball that jagged in off the pitch (Left-armer Binura is coming over the wicket to the leftie batter). Sarkar plays a big pull but it's not quite short enough for the shot he's playing and there seems to be a nick as it goes through. Ultra edge shows a spike, but the third umpire thinks that there is gap between bat and ball when the spike shows up. Sri Lanka are not happy! Soumya Sarkar was actually walking out of the field having seen the spike on the big screen. But as far as the TV umpire saw it, the spike came one frame too late for it to be an edge off the bat. Sri Lanka have swarmed around the on-field umpire (who initially gave it out and then had to change his decision), to get answers. It all depends how well the ultra-edge is calibrated, but we usually see those given out no problem.

Pakistan have won the T20 Deaf World Cup. Who knew it was even on? They kept very quiet about it.

Pakistan vs NZ T20 in its entirety
Tim Robinson debuts and makes a 2 ball duck in a 2 ball game

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Robinson, OUT
Crackerjack! Booming inswinger! Wow, what an incredible delivery, absolute scorcher on that awkward back-of-a-length zone that jags back frantically and pings the top of middle as Robinson looked to go up and over midwicket rather disdainfully but ended up making a mess of his stumps, off goes Shaheen with arms aloft in celebration, what a sight for the bowler, lovely seam position! And that's all she said; it's pelting down here in Rawalpindi again. Players are shaking hands and the covers are coming back on

Shaheen Shah Afridi to Robinson, 2 leg byes
Comes over the wicket, pitched up and gets a hint of swing, shaping it towards leg, tries to clip it away off his pads and can't connect, it rolls over to fine leg, keeper can't get his hand on it, Abrar intercepts the ball in the deep

Green - not a T20 player ...bowling is fodder
wade/ inglis ....dont need two keepers
agar ...dont need two spinners
ellis ...is our list of available fast bowlers that short?

The mini ashes in september 3xt20 5xodi might arouse a frisson of interest although at that time of year half might well be rained off. Mott has stepped down from his role as englands white ball coach.
