Murdoch - filthy little digger media
The bloke controls info and thought bubbles all around the world.
He is or has been a cheerleader for the loonier side of Brexit, the invasion of Iraq because it would drive oil prices down, the Mad Monk (Abbott) and Happy Clapper (ScuMo) in Oz (at least Murdoch is ecumenical!). Oh yes, is he a Trumpanista or is Trump a Murdochian.
Think about it folks. Do your interests align with Rupe the Dupe?

Re: Murdoch - filthy little digger media
I think the ABC and Fairfax take the view they are evening things out.
I don't mind that he has views. I find it laughable when his sycophantic employees rush to his defence when it comes to editorial influence. FFS why else would he own newspapers in this day and age. I've got no doubt most of his senior journos have never been had the hard word put on them. FFS he owns about a thousand papers around the world. All he needs is the editors.
Case in point. Rupe hates Mal. Rupe wants Tony back.
Editor makes sure bad Mal stories take up front page and good Mal stories are placed near the entertainment page.
FFS its Proprietor 101.
The Brits clipped his wings but jail time would have been nice. And most of his local reporters who run to his defence in this regard, should stop bitching about BuzzFeed et Al and find jobs there, because only the supermarket tabloid consumer would swallow such patent crap.
Rupes CFO: "hey Rupes we're losing a shedload on the Bumfark Star Sentinel in North Dakota, what's say we cut our losses?"
Rupes: "Fark that, I'm gonna crush that first term congressman and his communications bill".

...and yet the local Murdoch owned rag has taken a left wing lean in recent years. I sometime don't know if i'm reading The Mercury or the Guardian.
Re: Murdoch - filthy little digger media
He's also not stupid. He'll slant (though the Mercury probably isn't the first thing on his desk every morning. Maybe he's after an orchard or a salmon farm) his papers to make money and jump from bed to bed.
He got lots of kudos for the Maxie Stewart case when he was all shiny and new. I'd like to think it was to right a miscarriage, though he thinks Maxie was probably guilty of something (so do I and I liked the old rogue), but he probably had the paper's circulation in mind as well.
I say again. It's his money and he can use his vast communications empire anyway he wants. Just don't tell me he doesn't.

... and here is an amusing take, albeit in a very grim way, on Sky Oz's coverage of the NZ atrocity.

First half of every show since the event saying "it wasn't us" and the last half blaming the left.

I mentioned to by brother the other day that Anning has achieved the incredible feat of making One Nation look moderate. Seems that First Dog has a similar view.

Aye Mr K. The concern I have is that Tarrant and Anning are readily dismissed as statistical outliers. I do not. I see the Foxy after dark denizens and the likes of Minister Spudhead, Andrews, Erics a Nazi as indivisibly close to the supremacist views of Anning and Tarrant. Oddly enough Hanson seemed genuinely appalled even while denying she or those of her ilk had anything in common with Anning.

FFS, Anning was on her ticket.
If nothing else it says that you can't trust voting for ON because they have no idea about their own people - not much of a surprise under her franchise model when candidates need to basically pay Pauline for the right to run under her banner.

Re: Murdoch - filthy little digger media
So what are the differences between Anning (Tarrant too I guess) and others on the lunar right.
Dutton - bugger all difference that I can see.
Hanson - expect Tarrant and Anning are all too real for her. Branding is one thing, consequence is another.
Anazi, MM and Andrews - each of these supremacists have been quiet the past few days.

Tony Abbott in 2017: "Islamophobia hasn't killed anyone".
Tony Abbott yesterday: ""I wouldn't repeat now what I said in an interview then because even if it might have been correct then it's certainly not right today."

Thanx. Had not seen or heard this.
How does he categorise the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Iraqis?
Would have thought the unwarranted invasion and slaughter led by old white folks discounted human life. "they're just Muzzies".
