These included that he reportedly didn’t know “any reader who would be interested” when pressed to reveal exactly who – in the absence of a stable, confirmed panel - would be selecting the SA squad for the looming home Test series against England.

Well of course it is a nonsense action. No doubt the Saffie admin rivals our own for abject incompetence. I do recall you lambasting one of the banned SA journos. I guess you have forgotten that.

Most of our journos operate in a symbiotic relationship with CA, cbnlg et al. The craven outpourings this week re the bogan are but one example. Sports journalism here used to be top notch but waves of retrenchments have led to a real talent drain.

In Aussie rules, the press just often invent stories. I would be delighted if the team I follow banned contact with some media hacks.
