The sensible option would be to follow last year's example & just scrap the final & declare Queensland as Shield champions. It is the middle of April (Footy season, not cricket). The first innings points system they are going to use is ridiculous.

Geez, Tassie came home with a wet sail (2 outrights) and only missed the Final (if there is one) by 3.5 points.

Makes their earlier season efforts look pretty grim. In the end they would've liked a 10 game Shield season.

On the flip side, the Sandies choked badly and the Spivs faded v a Shrapnel ton.
