Broad averages 18, if the whole team did bat like him we’d almost certainly lose Wink

And a four-wicket blitz from him puts us on the verge of victory.

Lots of contributions in the batting without a big score, but in the old days those players would have been scratching around for an hour for 20 or so then getting out.

Twas the revenge of the Nighthawk.

Apparently Trueman was the last bowler to bowl the top 3 in a test.
And they said that before Broad got a 4th.

Anderson and Broad now have 1,005 wickets in Tests played together, overtaking Warne and McGrath’s 1,001.

Another seam/spin combination in Murali and Vaas are next with 895, ahead of the next pace duo of Ambrose and Walsh with 762. Starc and Lyon perhaps surprisingly next with 580 taken playing in the same side, ahead of Wasim and Waqar’s 559.
