Rugby League 2024
Jerome Luai has signed a 5 year $6 million deal with the West Tigers.
But he's not asked for an early release from the last year of his Panthers contract.

Noice. If the footy's rubbish, you can always gamble, with free drinks.
And, mercifully for you, the Drags won't be there.

The Dragons have to be firming as wooden spoon favourites. Flanagan has bought no-one of any note and lost 2 new recruits to season-ending injuries.

Re: Rugby League 2024
Meanwhile, it looks like the Panthers may have been gypped in the World Club Championship.
Wigan won 16-12 but the rags say there were a couple of controversial refereeing calls, one being a no-call on a double movement by the Poms and another a disallowed try to the Panthers late that would've tied the scores with a kick to come.

Yikes, the Drags actually won (and won well) their first game of the season proper.
False dawn or hope of a reasonable season? It was only the Tits.

And the Tiges move well away from Spoon zone after their 3rd win, v Slimeys.
Oh, and the Drags beat the Filth, which is nice.

Re: Rugby League 2024
Not following leeeg as much as I did, but did savour the Storm beating the despicable Nags. Aside from Cann and Sailor, the other Nags I met were appalling. Tallis was and presumably still is a thug off the ground.
The whingeing in Brisbane when the Nags lost was something to behold and truly snigger at.

Hi skullywag, nah … have been spared a recent visit there. Was remembering my exile there 92-04… I really got to despise the Brisbane dog and pony show. Truly is a one horse/nags town.

I think this rings true of most "southerners". Anyone but the Nags.
Geez, the Bunnies are going bad. 1 from 5. Dragonesque.

Nup, I'd barrack for Manly over the Nags (but only if it was a Final).
