Chappelli's Nobbiness
Chappelli made a comment that he couldn't see the difference in Symonds swinging his bat over the top of the stumps when he was dismissed and swinging the bat into the stumps.
I suggest we get beefy to swing a fist over Chappell's head and then one into it and see if he can tell the difference then.

I don't see any difference between swinging it over the stumps or bashing it into the ground . . .

Chappelli also said last week that he rated Ponting as a better captain than Steve Waugh.
Forgetting their merits as batsmen, I found that one very hard to swallow.

Some of Vic Richardson's advice to Chappelli was 'never captain like a Victorian'. Pity he didn't say 'don't grow old and bitter like one' ....
Silly old ****** ....

Never lets a grudge get in the way of professionalism.

chappelli often has useful things to say and i think he is well placed to comment on the captaincy merits of punter and K snr. I think he has cottoned to the fact that Ksnr had the benefits of gilly, tgm and TGM in their prime which often overcame his famed redinkus maximus efforts...no-one can accuse punter of being selfish...no dropping down the order for him...no getting others to take the batting risks (eg Gilly) for him...moreover punter is leading a distinctly lesser team than Ksnr had at his disposal in bowling batting and fielding and is still getting top results..
the one area where punter's team is better off is having hussey batting instead of Kjnr...still Kjnr could teach the kid something about taking chances
good on chappeli for stating what many think but few (cept TGM) are prepared to say

Re: Chappelli's Nobbiness
So we are all agreed then (except the stoopid bitter old Roman) that Chappelli is a d!ckhead of the highest order? I particularly like RD's Beefy suggestion. Except it could never happen cos Chappelli is sh!t scared of Beefy and would never be caught by himself in a room with him.

No,. I'm with horrie and Chappelli. You set different standards for Punter and Waugh when it comes to captaincy, and all too many look at them with only one eye open.skully wrote:So we are all agreed then (except the stoopid bitter old Roman)
