It sounds like Shakib may need to ‘rest’, if he can’t bowl. He’s been a wonderful all-rounder for Bangladesh, they’re best ever, but this might be the end. If he can’t bowl on Indian bunsens, he won’t be able to bowl anywhere.

No changes for India unless they leave Deep out. I’m wondering how they’re going to manage in Australia if there are to have three pacers, Ashwin, and Jadeja. I think they should choose Pant. Jadeja and Ashwin at 6-7-8 and hope that 5 specialist batsmen will be enough.

Long live 5 day Test cricket! Twists and turns, the possibility of fightback, the possibility of a turnaround, the possibility of a heroic performance for the ages. All impossible in the shorter format.
