Breaking wind : Harbhajan points finger at
.. the bad curry he ate last night.
Unconfirmed reports from the Appeal suggest that the rapidity of the amended
charge was as a direct result of the unbearable smells that permeated the room.
Originally blamed on the rotting carcass of a rat, it soon transpired that the offender was
indeed Singh, who, rather shamefacedly, blamed the Chicken Phall he ate last evening
at the Moghul Restaurant on King Edward Street.
After the Appeal, which the BCCI claimed as their immoral victory, a rather embarrassed Singh told reporters :
"I will never go there again ... something was very offensive. It could have been the stale monkey nuts
but was most probably the Phall ... but I am denying both suggestions."
"I do hope that you're happy with the outcome you cad " said a ruffled Hayden, standing 6 feet upwind from Singh
and careful not to use offensive language which might tarnish his church-going personna.
"Say that again and I'll knock yer f**king block off" Symonds added, having misheard Singh's reference to the nuts.
Ponting stood aside chewing on his nails wondering what he should do next whilst Clarke held the aggressive Symonds back.
Mark Nicholas, who was there to cover the proceedings, was mortified at the sight of Clarke holding Symonds
which compelled him to immediately turn his attention to a cameraman nearby who just so happened to be blond and in his
20's .... "Hello my dear chap" he was heard to remark ....
