Beadle's About appeared for a very short period in the early or mid 90s. I watched it a couple of times, thought it was amusing, but very, well, English.

We get heaps of Pommy shows, but heaps more US shows. And pay TV has accentuated it.

Come to think of it, the preponderance of UK shows on cable probably explains why Trev won't piss off home...
