Sanga gone.
Still open, though the game being shortened has hit India badly.

I don't see a reason why the game should have been shortened ? It's bright and sunny now.
It seems Aus can conjure up a cloud and some rain at request.

Good first over by Bhajji, priceless wicket of Sanga and only 3 runs conceded.

8 runs off Tendulkar's first over.
Sree's crappiness has ensured that we can't afford even one bad over now.

Looking at Sree I'm reminded of the monkey that set out to guard the King. Today the King has his nose slashed.
Re: India v Sri Lanka, CB Series game 5, Canberra, 12th Feb
Sehwag's form is a huge huge concern for India, just 64 runs in 4 innings. His slow batting at the top today might've cost India quite badly.
As for Yuvraj, it'd be better for him if he can somehow get into double figures first.

If you call it his brilliance, its your call. But I'd still call someone pitching so wide repeatedly outside Jaya's off stump as his (bowler's) crappiness.embee wrote:SG wrote:8 runs off Tendulkar's first over.Sree's crappinessJaya's brilliance has ensured that we can't afford even one bad over now.

He's a hard nut to bowl to when his mind is on the attack ...better bowlers than Sree have wilted when faced with Jaya taking the long handle ...compromise on it being a bit of both ...

But with Sree, it's not just Jayasuriya that gets freebies at the start of the innings.

Jayasurya has been consistently bad against McGrath. Any guesses ?
BCCI Ind gonna pay the price for not including the 5th bowler today.

Its safe to say now that Sree has singlehandedly won this match for SL.

Sreesanth' late swing idea isn't working. His length is all wrong today.

Re: India v Sri Lanka, CB Series game 5, Canberra, 12th Feb
the hallmark of the Indian fan is that he gets easily despirited and his faith is usually of the fleeting variety.
the main problem today was the match getting reduced to 20 over hit and giggle which allowed 'has been's" like Jaya come into the picture.
fast and furious as a 20 over game is, there was no time to advice Sree on the right length.
Sri Lanka is clearly the weakest team who can only do a raindance in 20 overs. A bit longer and they are clearly farked.

20 overs isn't enough to sink the talons onto the Lankan parakeets. Just need to wait for a full length match to go get them slaughtered.
