My money's on Cyril.
His real name is Sanjeev de Alwis. That is a scientically proven fact. Furthermore, his address is on t'interweb and someone threatened to go round. tac or Dello.

Oh he was a card. I remember he thrashed that senior officer with a sock full of Reichsmarks for commenting that kittens were cute. I distinctly remember because his socks were orange - I know what you're thinking: 'typical Helmut'. But then afterwards, he gave him some liquorice and kissed him on the ear. Psychological diversion of the highest quality. Shame he didn't 'f*ck him with a barbed wire dildo' as he'd promised.
Re: Forummers you don't know the first name of...
Does 'Sanjeev de Alwis' translate to 'Son of Elvis' by any chance? If so that would explain heaps.

There's nothing in life that doesn't involve Nutella.
I remember one time when Helmut 'browned' 'up' using Nutella when the Reich's 7th armoured Panzer division were doing an all man dramatic version of the Kama Sutra and Helmut accidently got two cocks stucks in his mouth, how he didn't gag I don't know. I remember Danny making a joke about how apt it was that Helmut had a double barrel surname what with the situation he was in and then laughing until the riesling I was drinking shot out through my nostrils.
What in the name of Christ are we talking about...?

Oh yeah, I remember Spang, because he licked that Feldwebel's penal chord, thinking it was Nutella when really it was his own faecal matter. He just laughed and ate the lot.

Yup! Useless gits gone and got himself injured and we had all sorts of comedy lines that we had set up for him to say to various English batters!

No. I mentioned that my half-brother also had a cricketarchive profile.
I 'retired' before I hit twenty. Thought I'd spend just one summer going to the beach instead of playing cricket. Next thing I knew I was forty, half-blind & too sore to roll the arm over. Dunno what happened to the 'missing' twenty years.

Know Jimmy Adams very well.
Where is he these days, Chas?
Last time we met he was returning to Jamaica as Clive lloyd's understudy on WI cricket development -
had a part in negotiating the yank Sanderson's (?) inter-island ODI gigs last year which were a great success and pulled in the $'s.
Is he still turning out for Sunbury or is that history now that he's a Sky pundit?

He plays the final game every year for us, normally against Ealing, and turns out in the 20:20 comp on week nights sometimes!!!!
He's back in Jamaica I think. He'll be back soon, normally April time.
He's involved all over the shop behind doors in WI, not sure what he's doing at present, but he'll pop down to smash some balls at us in pre-season, and have a glass or two of vino no doubt.
I did foget to mention the best and should be most famous person I know in criocket, Mr. D C Nash!!! Did you go to any of his benefit stuff? If you did, thanks for supporting the little sh1te!!

I could blow this thread wide open...
But I won't. Naming names is the beginning of the end. It's McCarthyism gone mad.

Sadly, I only managed one of his golf days (played absolute sh!te) and went to the final dinner.
Aye, he is a nice bloke - took time out to made sure everyone was having a good time.
Let's hope he made a decent packet out of the year - he deserves it.
