Re: West Indies squad to face Sri Lanka
He has in injured his back slightly so was rested for a game.
I didn't say I was happy that Nash was closer to the team, I was just stating reality. Jordan has not chosen which nation to represent yet and so has not played domestic cricket for Barbados and can't be picked.
Nash has come over and had a good season which he has to repeat next year at least to get into the side. Nothing wrong with that.
Now while Jordan looks a great prospect, he was by no means the top performer in the Barbados set-up this summer and if he were to throw in his lot with Barbados and therefore the West Indies he would be wasted IMO.
I have zero faith in the Bajan selectors who are a bunch of idiots.

He's just signed a two-year contract with Surrey as an English player. Were he to take up an offer to represent the Windies in that time, he'd be out of a job.
Aren't you required to be domiciled in England for a few years for that to happen?

Here's a video of new Windies off spinner Amit Jaggernauth bowling recently against Jamaica.
Jaggers
This was at the start of his spell and he was pushing it through more than he usually does but he still got some good turn and bounce.

4/34 are his latest figures. The man is on fire. Devon Smith and Chattergoon both failed so thats a worry.
Pedro has opted out of international cricket to take up his contract with Surrey, so he has been withdrawn from the squad.
At least they finally know they cant select him any more.

LOL. Hard to believe that the selectors didn't know if Collins was available or not, even though most of us on here suspected he had signed with Surrey. Guess they're trying to give Sri Lanka's selectors a run for their money in the 'muppets and jokers' stakes.

I would back our selectos in any muppet and jokers stakes tbh.
Who else would manage this Pedro mistake? Who else would select Rawl Lewis ahead of Jaggernauth? Who else would continue to pick Daren Ganga etc etc.
The fact that they have finally selected the best squad of players available to them is a real miracle tbh. This is the first time in donkeys years that I can honestly say they have selected the best team to face Sri Lanka.

Re: West Indies squad to face Sri Lanka
He is going to play for Somerset next season.
He has been outperformed in Windies domestic cricket by Jaggernauth, Benn, Mohammed, Miller etc so he is not near the senior side.
He was a decent batsman, and he can really turn a cricket ball, but he was too expensive as he had very poor control for a finger spinner.
