Liverpool v Arse.
Fancy Chelski to get dumped out....
L'Pool 1-1 Arse. L'Pool on pens.
Chelsk 1-0 Random Turks. Chelsk on away goals.
I have decreed it so.
Re: The EPL thread (III)
Chelski to take a lead early in the first half only for the turks to score and their mentalist fans to go absolutely apesh*t.
Arse/Liverpool will be interesting. Liverpool wouldn't dare sit on a 1-1 at home would they?

Re: The EPL thread (III)
I noticed the Wembley Members Area was very empty the other day(s). I find it a little odd that anyone who had paid substantially to become a member would miss out on two FA-Cup semi-finals, regardless of the teams involved.
I'm hoping to get a Wembley trip in at the end of May, but I expect pigs to fly before Calderwood becomes a good enough manager to win a play-off semi. His record in them is really quite alarming, so my hope is mostly forlorn.

Yeah, not sure what goes on there. Forest ent good enough anyway. They wanked all over us with 10 men the other Friday night, but still.

I see Arsenal going balls out for that first goal ... and thus leaving themselves open at the back.
Liverpool (much against my hope) to go through ... 2 - 1 at Anfield to the hub-cap thiefs.

Looks like Arsenal have given up already - they're playing Diaby. And Eboue. On the wings.

1-1 HT then.
Arsenal choking again? Passing all over Liverpool for half an hour and then got the wobbles...
Could go either way really.
Chelsea 1-0 up and although not under great pressure running a thin line as to whether they will qualify or not now they've got Hilario the clown in goal.

liverpool through 4-2 (5-3)...failure to hold a lead cost us. held the lead for an aggregate of 20 mins for all our 3 goals. torres the difference - compared to ade's pathetic performance today, wenger take note.
liverpool - chelsea again...
p.s. what a run from walcott

Re: The EPL thread (III)
Adebayor looks knackered. And I'm not surprised after leading the attack on his own and being pretty much the only source of goals all season. The lad's only 23-4.
That penalty was a bit like Kuyt's tug in the first leg....
Brilliant game though.
Chelsea through as well. Super Frank scores again.

How often does that happen in football? You score and then relax!
The manner of their exit will hurt given the pen not given at the Emirates but for me Arsenal only started playing whenever they had to chase the game.
Some of those Arsenal fans look gutted...

Re: The EPL thread (III)
Am convinced now that Arsenal have a panic self-destruct button that they press every time they take the lead.
1-0, playing 'Pool off the park with some beautiful football ... and Senderos dick-watches Hyppia off a simple corner.
2-2 ... game in the bag ... 6 minutes to go, and one fcuking minute later, Toure (normally compact in defence) has a rush of blood and "loses it" in the box!
FFS
The End.

Jammy ****** that penalty was a less of a penalty than Hlebs claim in the first leg, not surpisingly all the decisions went Pools way again, Senderos get's booked after two fouls but Mascherano get's a free roam to foul the opo players off the park.
Though Senderos was sh!te was at fault for the first two goals, great goal from Torres and what a run from Walcott.

Re: The EPL thread (III)
Arsenal are the chokingest chokers this side of Chokestown.
Took the lead three times in this tie and still cocked it up - Liverpool didn't have to do anything special to score any of their goals over the two legs, yet their negative hoof-merchants still shipped five past a team supposedly going for the league title. How many clean sheets have Arsenal kept since Christmas, I wonder...
Said before that Toure was dodgy. His reputation at centre back is somewhat inflated by playing alongside a peak-era Sol Campbell back in the day. He's been accident prone for a good while now.
I can't understand how a team as patently shite as Liverpool keep jamming their way through the Champions League every season - it certainly has nothing to do with Benitez's supposed tactical genius as they were a total shower for the first half an hour. Mystifiying. Perhaps the Champions League is becoming as devalued as the FA Cup...
Oh well, another terrible semi-final with Chelsea on the horizon then...

Fixed. It's called choking.
Re: The EPL thread (III)
I think I had a heart attack when Walcott was running at Hyypia...
Great game, Arsenal had all the play in the first leg but it was 'typical' Arsenal in that they didn't put the game to bed when the amount of position they had should have had more to show for it, and they were dissappointing to say the least in the second half.
Torres, Skrtltleletle and Masche almost gave me a semi with their performance.
