JD, this place rocks and I ain't going back unless I have to. I can see the old "Bails" grinding to a halt very quickly (and not because of Informe's carp server).

Huzzah.

I honestly think informe have packed up and gone home. They've made a mess of things, cut and run.

They'll turn up somewhere else. Dimforme or something.

I'm still not sure how this place will shape up during UK office hours traffic, but we'll cross that bridge when it happens.

Seems pretty reliable - but it did wig out for 20 minutes earlier today, which it never has before.

We'll see.

I don't want to post the link yet, though, as I've got more than a few reservations as to how compatible this place will be with one or two of our brethren.

And obviously Lags will be desperate to find this place.

No-one has heard from the "support team" in over a week - getting on for ten days.

I'll be surprised if they return. But I'd love it if this place (or somewhere else) worked out and we never had to go back there.

Aye, this place is running well. I think it's pretty obvious that some sort of porn cookie virus from Zim's PC is responsible for the other forum grinding to a halt.

I've invited a handful of other people who may or may not get around to joining up in the next 24 hours.

Hopefully, between you, you won't get his place shut down before my next visit.

See you around.

Aye, the other joint has had its obligatory shut-down at around this time. Seems to co-incide with morning tea British office time. Could half of London be logging on there to see what LP and tac are up to??

Tend to agree PJ. But it's early days. JD is slowly handing out the gilt-edged personalised invitations.

For some reason I have trouble with a random handful of sites being extremely slow to load, and this now appears to be one of them. It is taking up to 30 seconds for a page to load. I have tried web-searches, turning off my anti-virus software, trying Mozilla as a browser but nothing works. Unfortunately it could end up meaning that my two favourite places (this place and another total off-topic forum site) are infuriatingly slow for me. It's almost like being moderated. The quick spontaneity of a fast forum is essential.

Any suggestions??

Noice JKL!! Very Happy I even rang my service provider, who promptly entered the addys at their end and said there was no problem - stoopid gooses. I need a tech-head to advise me to change some setting somewhere (an internet preference or somesuch) that is causing the slow load.

It would appear that way JD. There is some little glitch somewhere (on my PC no doubt) that slows the page refreshes. It's like the content is being scanned before it loads. I turned off all protection (firewalls, antivirus etc) but makes no difference. Any ideas man?

You could try their support board if it's just you.
