They've still got the likes of Nel to cover him....

Tough on Steyn - Nel's a handy replacement though.

Oh dear...
Hey-ho, will be good to see that loonbag Gunther spice things up a bit . . . like the series needed spicing up!

Can always rely on Nel for a bit of entertainment. Hes not as good as he thinks he is though... although i guess thats all part of his attraction

Get SiJo in, stick up the Saffies and square the series to set up a great 4th Test. I don't care one way or the other which team is victorious in the series but it'd make for far better viewing than some of the tedious stuff seen in T1 and 2 (particularly that crab McKenzie).

Is also doubtful for the fourth test. Could be Proteas are about to do what they do best - choke.

And then Captain Lard will have to deny that they're chokers and say that they just laugh about it etc. etc.

atleast Harmison is playing so with him, Morkel and Flintoff we may still see a few good fast bowling spells.

This is a great opportunity for Morne to take the new ball.

Yeah spunky Morne to get a chance first up at the left-handers.
Bet Vaughan's rapt about Steyn's absence.

Re: Steyn out of third Test.
Phurt. Ntini will probably get one to pitch on off, hold it's line and cartwheel Vawn's off or middle, with the England skipper holding a perfect high elbow forward defensive pose as he shakes his head at the death rattle.

Big blow for South Africa and relief for England. At some stage Steyn was/is going to make the England batsmen look stupid.

He's been making Michael Vaughan look stupid since he was a pimply, testosterone fuelled, awkward fist pumping 21 year old rookie.
Although to be fair, Vaughan contributes at least 80% towards making himself look stupid. Just look at any photo ever taken of him....

I hereby promise not to sook the way the Aussies did when MacGrath was injured during the 2005 Ashes.

You would if Steyn was being replaced by Tait

Heh heh heh.....yeah, Vaughan has a habit of making out that every ball that dismisses him is an absolutely unplayable jaffa. Stays at the crease for a few extra seconds looking like he has no idea what just happened, his patented "dribbling gimp" expression plastered on his face, after which he slowly walks back to the dressing room, looking back at the pitch every few steps and shaking his head.
You missed a straight one - again - you twonk!
