VICTORIA captain David Hussey has taken aim at teammate Shane Harwood for his "paint-ball gun" post-wicket celebration that marred the Bushrangers' win.

Hussey was unimpressed when Harwood got down on one knee and pretended to shoot as his teammates fell down one by one after dismissing dangerman Ashley Noffke just before lunch at the Gabba.

Instead of toasting their success, the Bushrangers skipper had to smooth things over with Queensland captain Chris Simpson after a match that concluded with more than a day to spare.

“The thing was if we won today, we get a day off and go paint-balling tomorrow,” Hussey explained.

“I don't think Shane is the smartest guy going around and he got carried away.”
