Consistent of late. We will need need another Hussey soon enough. I see he is 29. I think he made Australia A with mixed results. Anyone confirm?

As Bill would say "it's all happening".
How grouse was bog's pull shot off spud?
Lucky there was nobody in the crowd or else they would have needed to bring in a barrel

Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
vague produces good knock even thi it was on the AO highway against the barrels
henriques finally has a good match (1st in 2 years) and is neing talked up as the next big thing...really don't understand the Skully bias against Hughes...sure he failed in the 2nd dig and it was against the snoozies, but he is still one of the form players of the comp - and the youngest of these...
the great pity is the Oz players will get cheaped boosts to their averages against a team that would struggle to knock off the Jellies - hell even Bung is likely to get wickets...
meanwhile the higher quality and tougher games will be in the shield where great performances by vague, achilles, the butler, rumpole, the kid Mk2, Gunns, nicky, out of his depth, macmuffin, pommybasher et al will be underrated by the national selectors..

Was it Horrie who was suggesting that Smith is the next Aussie 'keeper in line behind Haddin? Sounds like something Horrie would say.......

Aye, he's so rotund that he saves energy after taking a catch by not throwing it up or barely appealing.JGK wrote:Geez the Dubber keeper Smith has a touch of the Mark Cosgroves...

Butler stranded on 99 - I remember the same thing happening to Boycott in a Test in Perth, KOK in a tour match in NZ (he never made a FC ton), and one Waugh also in Perth when the other one got run out running for whoever the no 11 bat was (McDermott?)
Remember any other poor sods who got to 99 then ran out of partners?
