Thank God it's House night and I didn't have to watch that pitiful collapse by the Spivs.
Caught the wickets being replayed after the Banjos finished off the Spivs in double-quick time. Fat Smith threw his hand away and then young Smith ran himself out , and that was all she wrote.
Farkin softc0cks. [walks away grumbling]

From the Queensland Cricket Site
No Noffke
Doran & Sullivan both in the twelve.
LOVE RETURNS FOR BULLS
Thursday 20 November 2008
The XXXX GOLD Queensland Bulls will welcome back the State’s all-time leading runs-scorer Martin Love, left-hand batsman Nick Kruger and new father Grant Sullivan for tomorrow’s Sheffield Shield clash at the SCG.
In a new-look line-up, the trio come into the side in place of Test selection Andrew Symonds and the injured pair of Greg Moller (hamstring) and Ashley Noffke (back).
Noffke is continuing to seek treatment and medical staff will review his condition again on Monday ahead of Queensland’s next home Shield game against South Australia starting next Friday.
Love missed the Bulls last Shield game, an outright win over the Warriors in Perth, after suffering a groin injury against Victoria last month.
Sullivan was also not available for selection for the WA match in Perth, with he and partner Hayley becoming parents for the first time two weeks ago.
Kruger, 25, played two first class matches last season after a four year absence from the team following a spate of shoulder injuries.
Leg-spinner Daniel Doran also comes into the 12 in place of Ben Laughlin, the 12th man against the Warriors.
XXXX GOLD Queensland Bulls v NSW Blues, tomorrow to Monday, SCG:
Chris Simpson (c), Ryan Broad, Lee Carseldine, Daniel Doran, Ryan Harris, Chris Hartley, James Hopes, Nick Kruger, Martin Love, Clinton Perren, Grant Sullivan, Chris Swan (12th man to be named).
No Noffke
Doran & Sullivan both in the twelve.

Reeks and Cowan putting a partnership together - at the WACA Nannes bowls Marsh with a full toss, follows up with two beamers, umps strongly suggest to White that the Goat has a long graze at fine leg, all in one over - WA 1-3, Hodge not in Vic team

Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
Interesting Re Nannes ...only two full tosses no- balled but he was removed form the attack (should be three unless it's deemed deliberate)...Sewer finished his over so I suspect the goat wont be able to bowl again the wozzie first innings ...hard to judge "deliberate" on three balls
Be interesting if the umps cop it for a) not no balling the first full toss that Marsh got out to ...or b) removing the goat after only two no-balled fullies ...or both

Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
He was bowling to top-order batsmen - it all seems a bit extreme. When does a full-toss become a beamer? Even at the dismally low level I played, a bouncer was a much more dangerous ball than a head-high full toss, and a top-edged pull shot was even more likely to give you a faceful of leather. Doubtless we'll hear more. I wondee if we'll see much more of brother Nannes, in this match or any other..
Logically the ump was in no position to call any intent after one ball. And he couldn't reverse the decision to give Marsh out after he had been replaced at the wicket.

Re: ***Official 08/09 Sheffield Shield comp***
strange set of events...spose that what happens when a goat plays cricket..suspect the goat who does not seem the aggro type just lost control - did he ask to be relieved or did the yumps direct his departure?
Vicious scones Davis and eliminates the the basher...
I reckon this will be a very close match...embee are you planning to watch some of it?

Apparently the umps called in the Vic skipper.
Surely nobody except the umpires has authority to take the ball off a bowler in mid-over?
